Physiologically literate way to reduce eye bags: Do not become general Mattis.

Last update and review: March 3rd, 2020.

Looking descent is a part of the “Optimal Phenotype”. Your biomarkers may be within the optimal ranges, but there is no guarantee that the look of your face will reflect it.

General Mattis, a chaotic person who occupied the post of the United States Secretary of Defense between 2017 and 2019, will be most remembered for his prominent eye bags.

Mattis has been mocked a lot for his eye bags. If we use Google to search the web for “general Mattis eyes”, the results displayed on the first page contain some of that mockery as well as the obligatory listing of “fake news” tabloids.

Let us check what the users of Google and readers of tabloids displayed by Google are exposed to when they search for “eye bags”, “under-eye circles” and similar.

An article from the tabloid Esquire.com, displayed on the first page of search results by Google, pushes plastic surgery:

(Eyebags) are mostly a product of age and genetics—and no one wants them. In 2015, eyelid surgery was the second-most-popular treatment for guys after that old reliable, the nose job.

If you’re a full-blown Mattis, a surgeon can go in under the lower eyelid and remove or reposition the fat there to make the bags disappear.

However, if we use Physiological Literacy, observation, and pattern recognition, we can figure out ways to keep eye bags under control.
On several occasions, we have had reasonable success in dealing with eye bags issues when consulting our clients. We, therefore, decided to do a concise consulting program to address the specific issue of eye bags. As usual in our consultations, we also check the past blood and other laboratory tests of our consulting clients to make sure there are no warning signs or issues that require attention.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you need help with this issue. Our approach does not require any medication, creams or face masks. It is pretty straightforward and it helps first of all to reduce or to prevent the formation of prominent eye bags. If the changes went far, as in the case of general Mattis, our approach should still be helpful, but it will not be a magical solution.
